This is the second amendment to the original contract, which provides laboratory services to identify infants with inborn errors of metabolism and hemoglobinopathies, as authorized under NRS 442. This amendment extends the termination date from March 31, 2012 to June 30, 2013 due to ongoing transition of newborn screening responibilities between the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory (OSPHL) and the Nevada State Public Health Laboratory (NSPHL), or other Nevada in-state laboratory. This amendment increases the maximum amount of the contract from $14,000,000 to $18,550,000 due to increased costs of testing over time. |
